Making a swap request

You can make a swap request by visiting the member's profile and clicking the orange 'contact the member’ button.

Here are some pointers to help you write an effective exchange request. Please remember to check the member's availability in the calendar part of their profile before submitting a swap request.

1. Please inform them of your chosen travel dates: Please specify if your travel schedule is flexible. If you are open to reciprocal exchanges but cannot do a simultaneous exchange, be sure to mention that as well.
2. Include a personalized message: It is important to make sure that your message is personalised. Introduce yourself and explain your travel plans. Mention why you're interested in that particular area - If you're looking for a Traditional Swap, mention that too!
3. You and your partner can decide the exchange terms together: From the beginning, make it clear what kind of flexibility you have so that you can both agree on your exchange plans. whether they are reciprocal or non-reciprocal, The spirit of hospitality is the essence of home exchanges. When you're away, can your exchange partner stay at your house? Could it be at some point in the future?
