What about pet care during an exchange?

Many home swappers are happy to look after their swap partners' pets during a home swap. And, when this is possible, it is certainly less stressful (and less expensive) to be able to leave much loved pets in their own homes rather than board them in a kennel.

Members can indicate whether they require pet care or are willing to look after pets while participating in a home exchange. It's always a good idea to have a backup plan in place so that your exchange guests don't feel confined if they want to spend a few days travelling away from your home. You can easily find members who have indicated that they would be willing to look after pets from the filters. Similarly, you can search for members that have selected 'Pets Welcome' if you’re looking to take your pet with you on a swap.

Remember, if you have pets, make sure to clearly indicate this in your listing because, even if they aren't in your home during the swap, your pet's fur may be a no-no for allergy sufferers.
